Vinturi Wine Aerator

The first time I tried the Vinturi it was at a trade show where they were giving taste tests. I don’t usually drink red wine because it usually puts me to sleep, but I thought I’d try it out since it was late in the day.
I tasted the Cabernet before the Vinturi aerator. It tasted like I expected, dry and a little bitter. The vendor poured more wine using the same bottle, but this time he poured it though the Vinturi into the glass. Wow! What a difference. I actually liked it. It was very smooth.
My husband bought me one for Valentines day and I took it to a family get together. Everyone thought it was the coolest thing and they all wanted at least one, some to give as a gift. I’ve already decided I’m giving as a gift to a few people I know.
I usually drink white wine like Chardonnay or Riesling. I tried the Vinturi with Riesling a couple of times and since Riesling is a little bubbly, it removes some of the bubbles and enhances the flavor. With one of them, I liked the taste using the Vinturi Wine Aerator better and it muted the bubbles, but the other one I liked better before the Vinturi. I guess you just need to try a little before you pour an entire glass.
